Settng up a bank account- which type?

You will probably need to set up a bank account to receive money in and pay money out. So you will have to consider  how you wan to set up  what type of business or charity  will you be ?

As this will then depend on the type of bank account you  will need to open 

Therefore as things change every day in the banking world, best to check the banks out when you are ready to set up your group

whilst this may be the biggest thing on your list to do, it will in time be the  best investment of your resources, time, effort and money.

Take some time to consider

• What you want on your web site plan it out on paper first
• How you want it to look  to visitors of your site
• Who is going to build it! you or someone else
• What you are going to call yourselves.... and is your domain name available?
• Web hosting! yes it has to live somewhere between you and the visitors

After all if nobody can find you, how can they contact you, or find out what's going on for them to join in

Other things to consider

When will you launch your group....a good time to launch is when there's something going on in the world of health and safety

We  decided:

European Health and  Safety week  23rd to 27th Oct 2006 for launch of the web site

Workers Memorial day 2007 for launch of campaign for those interested to get active and involved

And will be promoting the Hazards conference in Manchester in July 2007
