NEWS RELEASE Workers Memorial day 28th April 2008 Hazards Campaign Wales support line goes live. Hazards Campaign Wales , is a voluntary organization. On Workers memorial day 28th April 2008, the campaign will launch a telephone support line for families who have been bereaved through a workplace fatality & co-workers, who have experienced a work - related death.
the aim of the telephone support line is to : 1. provide information on other organizations offering help in the UK 2. and where possible offer emotional support in the UK
From the 28th of April 2008 the support line can be contacted on: 0792 121 3096 When contacting the support line, please leave a message giving your name and contact number. Alternatively you can send a text. (mobile rates and network charges apply). A call will be returned within 48 hours. Judith Thoburn-Price is an adult, child, group and crisis bereavement counsellor. Judith also carries out research in the field of un-natural death, and has a background in health and safety from both a trade union and management perspective. The campaign is currently researching the experience of bereavement on the immediate family following a work related death. Aims of Hazards Campaign Wales The campaign will encourage workers from all unions to participate in Workers Memorial Day, which they will be able to do in a number of ways from supporting hazards campaign wearing the purple ribbon, flying flags at half mast, planting trees, send us your photos and details of your Workers Memorial Day through the website. contact us Hazards Campaign Wales, will encourage participation in health and safety week in October, and support the annual hazards conference in July. Hazards Campaign Wales, will link into & support the Hazards Campaign nationally.
